Small Business Partnerships That Actually Work

Most partnership conversations die because nobody names the exchange. Someone says let's collaborate, everyone nods, and nothing happens. The fix is to be specific in the first conversation about what each side gives and gets.

Define the audience overlap. If your customers and theirs are the same people at different moments — a photographer and an event planner, a bakery and a florist — the partnership has real fuel. If the overlap is thin, it will not survive a busy month.

Define the contribution. One party brings a room, the other brings an audience. One brings product, the other brings distribution. Write it down in a sentence each.

Define the finish line. Run one event, one campaign, or one month, then review honestly. Short commitments make it easy to say yes and easy to repeat when it works.

We host collaborations with local businesses, nonprofits, and creators throughout the year, from pop-ups to workshops to community programming. If you have an idea that fits our space and our members, tell us what you have in mind and what you are hoping to get out of it.
